Jim Matthews, Senior Pastor

In ministry for nearly four decades, Jim has been the senior pastor at Lakeshore Christian Church since 2016. A graduate of Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, KY, Jim began his career ministering to youth and children. For 8 years he traveled around the country with his wife, Margaret, conducting vacation Bible schools and children programs, performing as Homer, Penelope, and Friends. The summer of 1992, they were invited to VBS at LCC and four months later joined the staff for 8 years. Prior to becoming the senior pastor at LCC, Jim spent 11 years as senior pastor at Raceland Christian Church in Raceland, KY and three years as executive director of Michiana Christian Camp in Niles. Jim and Margaret have two sons, three (along with a few grafted in) grandchildren and a dog.
Jon Hatter, Assistant Pastor

Jon has been serving in various capacities at Lakeshore Christian Church since 2011. His current focus areas are worship and teaching. He received his doctorate in theology (with a focus on the New Testament) from Loyola University Chicago in 2021. He also studied at the University of Notre Dame (M.A. in Early Christian Studies, 2013), Grand Valley State University (B.A. in Classical Languages, 2010), and Great Lakes Christian College (B.S. in Christian Ministries and Bible/Theology, 2007). He has taught theology, New Testament, and Latin at the university level, and has been invited to present on the gospels at numerous academic conferences around the country (and even around the world). Jon has been married since 2007. He and his wife have one son.
